The University of Nebraska Board of Regents voted 6-0 today to endorse an agreement to cooperate with the City of Lincoln in building a new arena in the historic Haymarket District.
The University of Nebraska Board of Regents on Friday approved an agreement to have the Husker basketball teams play in a new city arena, if Lincoln builds one.
The University of Nebraska Board of Regents is likely to approve an agreement in March to create a joint public agency with the city of Lincoln over the proposed Haymarket arena.
The Lincoln City Council voted 6-0 to put the proposed Haymarket arena on the ballot for the May 11 primary. The council also passed the University of Nebraska-Lincoln memorandum 6-0 to be included with the project. Council member Jon Camp abstained on both votes.
